The problem with Christianity is that God was only able to physically touch humans for the 33 1/3 years Jesus walked the earth. That generation only was able to feel the warm healing hands of God the Father though His Son.
Modern science has identified a condition now called “touch-starved”. Humans are wired to be touched.
From birth until the day we die, our need for physical contact remains. Being touch starved — also known as skin hunger or touch deprivation — occurs when a person experiences little to no touch from other living things. htps://www.healthline.com/health/touch-starved#research
We want to be touched, be comforted, be held by warm gentle hands. We were wired to want and need this. Our Heavenly Father wants to reach out and touch people so He sent His Son to earth… but Jesus is now back in heaven. His solution? The Holy Spirit, who lives within the spirits of God’s people, can reach out and touch people today using our hands. Our hands today are our Father’s hands to the world around us. Let God touch, comfort, and even heal through your hands. You – yes. even you – can be the hand of God to a needy and touch-starved world.
