Faulty Dilemma: Giving someone only two options to choose from (with the goal of them choosing the lesser of two evils) when, in reality, there are more options available. Refutation: Except when the choices are a set of contradictions, there are many times more options that are presented. Example – Abby: Bob, either you are in favor of contraceptive use or you believe that human beings do not have free wills. Which is it? Side Note: This is a very common… and very effective fallacy and often gets people to be tricked. Any time…ANY time someone gives you tow choices to pick from, ask yourself if there are, in fact, other choices available.
