What is a worldview? — Definition & Introduction
A worldview is a view of the world, used for living in the world. A world view is a mental model of reality — a comprehensive framework of ideas & attitudes about the world, ourselves, and life, a system of beliefs, a system of personally customized theories about the world and how it works — with answers for a wide range of questions:
What are humans, why we are here, and what is our purpose in life? What are your goals for life? When you make decisions about using time — it’s the stuff life is made of — what are your values and priorities? *
What can we know, and how? and with how much certainty?
Does reality include only matter/energy, or is there more?

A Worldview… we all individually have one. it is the way you see the world (i.e. the universe) around you. Each of us has a unique perspective and lens from and through which we perceive and understand life, the universe, and everything.
The questions posed above are, indeed, some of the most common questions that your worldview should answer…but I suggest a couple more about the worldview itself: 1) Does your worldview bring you peace? 2) If not, why not, and 3) If not, what would have to change for your worldview to actually produce a settled and constant state of peace in your mind and heart?
As recorded by one of his best friends, a very wise man once said as he was leaving his friends, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John’s Gospel Chapter 14, verse 27)
He made an astounding claim – that his peace was not the same kind that we could get anywhere else on earth. He then gave his friends an equally amazing charge: don’t be troubled or afraid. The peace that he gives allows for having a life that can be without troubles or fear.
What was this guy selling?????
Wait, he didn’t sell anything, he gave a free gift, and that gift, when accepted opens the door to living a life with that kind of peace.
